“The game was good, it’s just that the guys looked like they didn’t
know what they were doing but we were better than our opponents and it’s
something we going to work on during the week and try to hold on to the ball
more during the game because that’s what cost us the game”, said UFH Blues
captain Zanoxolo Qweba after a disappointing game against University of the
Western Cape at Davidson Stadium at Fort Hare University in Alice.
UWC dominated throughout the game with the ball mostly in their
hands and were playing in blues territory most of the first half and were
awarded with a try 10 minutes before half time. At half time, they were leading
by 5-0, and they came back again to in the second half through their captain
Philbrey Joseph who scored his second try of the game. the game ended with UFH losing to 15-8
“Since it was the first at least they played well and we can’t blame
them and we are 100% behind them as the SRC but they improve on their finishing
because their passes were good” said SRC president Busisiwe Mashiqi.
