"we just have to try and hold on to the ball more during the game because thats what cost us the game" said UFH captain

A disappointing start to the season for UFH
BY: Ayabonga Nkalitshana

“The game was good, it’s just that the guys looked like they didn’t know what they were doing but we were better than our opponents and it’s something we going to work on during the week and try to hold on to the ball more during the game because that’s what cost us the game”, said UFH Blues captain Zanoxolo Qweba after a disappointing game against University of the Western Cape at Davidson Stadium at Fort Hare University in Alice.
UWC dominated throughout the game with the ball mostly in their hands and were playing in blues territory most of the first half and were awarded with a try 10 minutes before half time. At half time, they were leading by 5-0, and they came back again to in the second half through their captain Philbrey Joseph who scored his second try of the game. the game ended with UFH losing to 15-8
“Since it was the first at least they played well and we can’t blame them and we are 100% behind them as the SRC but they improve on their finishing because their passes were good” said SRC president Busisiwe Mashiqi.

Nkonkobe Municipality Lose to Nxuma Municipality in a Friendly Soccer Match
By Samkele Letese
On the 9th of December Nkonkobe municipality hosted a Nxuma for a day soccer. The two teams seemed evenly matched throughout the first half, with multiple shots on target and magnificent saves. Cracks began showing early in the second halffor thr Nkonkobe team and the Nxuma team looked to capitalize on that. The Nxuma team became more aggressive as fatigue seemed to grapple the Nkonkobe team.

During the final 15 minutes of an upset filled game, Nkonkobe looked to revitalize the team by substituting two fresh pairs of legs, but unfortunately they couldn’t get the results the team needed, instead missed several opportunities to score. The Nxuma team capitalized on a defensive blunder in the wee minutes of the match to secure the only goal of the match.
The Redeemed Christian church of God Celebrate their 2nd Anniversary

By: Thembela Mjiba
The Redeemed Christian church might be on its infant stage in Alice but it has been around for over decay now since its establishment in Nigeria. This all commenced when  Pa Akindayomi heard a voice telling him that he will be God's servant , not wanting to believe what he heard he decided to ignore the calling , until seven years later when nothing in his life including his  business venture  was  not going alright . Finally submitted himself to the lord's will and was willing to do what the lord wanted him to do and go where he wanted him to go.
The church was then formed in 1952 in Lagos Nigeria then spread over 181 countries since then including South Africa. The Church is fast growing in Eastern Cape as well. The celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the Fountain of life parish in Alice is evident .The pastor of Fountain of life Omobola Okoh stated that it was not an easy call to establish a new parish but with the help of her wonderful team of ministers and of course the Lord as the head of it, the Alice branch can be said now to be stable.
Okoh didn’t forget to thank her husband for forever supporting her and she also extended gratitude to Kevin ....... the chairperson of Anniversary committee and the committee as whole for a job well done. She even mentioned that it is pleasing to the church that they have noted influx of South Africans joining them .However Oko admitted that she wanted to dodge the calling initially be course she felt inadequate to be a pastor but then again recalled that when God calls someone to a position he provide  assistance.  The three days anniversary celebration came to an end on the 22 November on a Sunday thanksgiving service.
The keynote speaker bishop ...........addressed the congregation under the theme found in Exodus 15: 11-17 where it states "God of wonders”. The are many powers out there that are meant to deceive and lead people astray but God is more powerful than all powers .He continued and said be course God is a God of wonders he can make the impossible possible. He can put end to our oppressors, fight our battles for he is a God of war. He fought battle of King David and numerous other prophets of old .All that is required of us is to turn away from our ways and be rooted in the word of God. To his sermon he also tried to eradicate the notion that states "all Pastors are thieves and liars trying to rob people of their monies.

He stated that prior to his pastoral calling he was an engineer then a pastor. He said he is mentioning this because he once met a stereo typed  person who thought as such but later on joined the church and invested so much in the a lot after his conversion. So there are a number of such people out there who don’t follow God due to these ideas. One need to pray for God's wonders and have faith to see them concluded the Bishop.

Ladies if you want equality then be man enough to accept responsibility and face consequences

OPINION BY : Ayabonga Nkalitshana

If you want 50/50 at least be man enough to accept responsibility and face the consequences. There is no right or wrong in the way of life. A human being has both responsibility and consequence due to actions taken. From what I have observed during the years of people, especially women in their fight for equality is that they always claim it in the wrong places and seem to asset their need for equal treatment and empowerment only when it suits them.

For example as a couple we should have equal responsibility to ensure the relationship is both financially viable and emotionally equipped. For its simple, I feed you, I put clothes on your back and a roof over your head then I am entitled to make decisions concerning your life because for the fact that you can’t take care of yourself it means you not fit enough to make decisions concerning your well-being and future.  From where I am standing you give 20% of power in your life.

We are in a partnership which demands that we share responsibility and consequence.  But if you can’t share in the responsibilities which make our partnership financially viable and emotionally equipped then you can’t also share in decision making and consequence. You give men 20%of your 50%, which makes men a majority shareholder if we put it in the terms of business.

If I sound too sexist or even discriminative, I am not going to apologize for that, it’s my opinion, my freedom to expression.      As women, if you want to be like a man you have to act like him. Go to work; feed the family take care of your own damn self, do not prostitute yourself in manner that leaves you powerless. This thing is exactly the way it’s done in the world of business. If we buy into a business, they money you put and the shares you have give you the power you desire. And if you don’t invest money you have no share, no say and no demands.

Then you become an employee who dances when the boss sings. Some people may look at this and have a conclusion that I am sexist or something but the real issue that I am trying to communicate is for women taking a step and be valuable to their cause, intelligence is admirable in a men but its more sexier and commendable when it is being exhibited by a women who knows what she wants and is not afraid to get it.  If you want equality then fight for it and show that you can stand the heat, and also your are worthy of your womanhood.
